Adopt A Shelter Cat Month & Photo Contest!

We are over run with cats! Every year the month of June brings a springtime flood of homeless kittens and cats. Homeless kittens are being brought in by the box-load from good Samaritans, and we have a living, breathing feline tsunami at LCHS. Unfortunately there are far more homeless kitties than there are adoptive families. To raise awareness to the kitten influx, and to raise funds to help with the costs associated with the rescue and care of hundreds of kittens this month, we are having a fun photo contest! Contest details below:

Have fun wile raising funds to help with our kitten tsunami! Participate in the Photo Contest and/or vote to win fun prizes! Rules are below:


  • You can submit as many photos as you want too - $5.00 donation for each photo entered.

  • Printed Photos must be 4x6 in size

  • The deadline for submitting Photos is June 22nd.

Photos will be displayed on the wall of our shelter for voting in-person, and also on our website for online voting from the date of submission until June 28th.

  • $2.00 per vote, unlimited votes at $2.00 each. The last day for voting is

    Friday June 28

• All contest pictures entered will be promoted on website and social media

Winner Receives:

• The winner’s picture will be printed in size 8x10, framed, and placed in the shelter Lobby for the Month of July.

• We will waive an adoption fee for a cat in our shelter of the winner’s choice.

• A personalized T-Shirt of the winner’s choosing.

• A Spotlight in the August Newsletter Mailing (in print!)

• A Basket Full of cat Goodies

Pictures can be entered and voted on, online (vote here) or in person at the shelter, 640 Dixon Street Allentown PA

All donations go toward the care and adoption of the hundreds of cats & kittens in our shelter this season.
